Spurs news: Jan Vertonghen on injuries, leaked kit images, missed moments from Brighton

Tottenham fans can't be blamed if they are still on a high from Christien Eriksen's late winner against Brighton on Tuesday night.

That win means Spurs took advantage in the four-way race to finish in third and fourth place in the Premier League behind Liverpool and Manchester Ciity. Although the race is still wide open going into the last few fixtures of the season.

Spurs are next in action on Sunday when they will look to maintain their 100 per cent record in their new stadium when they face West Ham United in a London derby. The game kicks off at 12:30pm.

Zac Efron reveals which Tottenham player invited him to Brighton match with Instagram post

As always with football, there is never a day without breaking. Take a look below for the Spurs stories that have been doing the rounds over the last 24 hours.

Vertonghen on Spurs' injury concerns

With Tuesday night's game being Tottenham's sixth in just 21 days, it's no surprise that Mauricio Pochettino's injury list is growing.

Both Danny Rose and Dele Alli suffered knocks during the game, although both did complete the full 90 minutes. Defender Jan Vertonghen has admitted that it's a test of physicality for the Spurs squad.

"It's definitely fine margins. All the English teams have come a long way in Europe. The Premier League is so tough, both cup ties and teams you play with your country. It all adds up and it’s starting to show," he said.

"It is mind over body. We struggled all season a bit with some injuries. Hopefully we can get a couple of guys back soon."

Leaked images of new away kit

As always with this time of year, images of new kits seem to find their way onto social media before the club's can officially release them. It is no different with Tottenham, who have seen pictures of their Nike away kit for the 2019/20 season appear on Twitter.

The leaked kit has a feature that seems to have taken Spurs' fans imaginations. Backed by a dark blue backdrop, the club badge and manufacturers logo are iridescent, giving a simplistic kit a modern twist.

Spurs fans have had mixed reactions to their Nike kits over the last two seasons, but the sportswear giant will be hoping for a positive response from their latest design.
