Spurs news: Giovani Lo Celso 'close' to transfer, Coutinho deal off, Paulo Dybala demands

Transfer deadline day is here!

It's one of the most exciting days of the football calendar, without a ball being kicked.

And Tottenham are expected to be one of the busiest clubs this summer, having been inactive in the previous two transfer windows.

There are a number of deals that Daniel Levy is working on, and if all of them come off, Spurs fans will be very happy indeed.

Here are the latest stories coming out of N17 in the last 24 hours.

Giovani Lo Celso transfer

Tottenham are closing in on the signing of Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis.

The Argentinian has been one of Spurs' most sought-after transfers of the summer window, but the two clubs have yet to agree on a deal.

However, there could be some light at the end of the tunnel finally, with Spurs lodging a new and improved offer for the 23-year-old.

Here's the latest on the move for Lo Celso.

Paulo Dybala demands

Spurs have had a £64.5million bid for Paulo Dybala accepted by Juventus.

Tottenham have emerged as the most likely destination for the Argentinian striker, after Manchester United missed out on signing him.

And the first stage is done, with Spurs agreeing a fee.

What remains though, is the tricky part of getting the deal over the line on transfer deadline day.

Here's the latest on Dybala's proposed move.

Philippe Coutinho snub

Tottenham are out of the race to sign Philippe Coutinho on loan from Barcelona.

The former Liverpool man emerged as a shock contender to move back to the Premier League on transfer deadline day, with Arsenal and Spurs both linked with moves.

However, Coutinho does not want a loan move, preferring to return to the English top flight permanently if he is surplus to requirements at the Camp Nou.

Here's the latest on Coutinho and the other transfer deals on the table at Spurs.

Christian Eriksen latest

The Dane's future at Spurs is likely to run and run, even past Thursday's transfer deadline.

That is because the transfer window remains open for clubs in other countries - namely Spain - where Eriksen has been tipped to end up.

Eriksen is a transfer target for Real Madrid, although their second option behind Manchester United's Paul Pogba.

United have been linked with Eriksen also.

And their stance on the Eriksen deal is right here.
