Spurs news: Dybala transfer boost, Daniel Levy meeting, North London Derby lineup decision

It is derby day in north London.

Arsenal vs Tottenham at the Emirates - always one of the biggest fixtures in the football calendar.

Both sides go into it needing a win after defeats last weekend, with SPurs' need the greater you would have thought.

Many pundits have written Mauricio Pochettino's side off already, after their shock defeat to Newcastle. But with the European transfer window closing tomorrow, the boss could finally have a settled squad.

Here we round up the biggest Spurs stories from the past 24 hours.

Dybala boost

Could Tottenham go back in for Paulo Dybala in January?

Spurs gave it a good go at signing him in the summer, but could not sort out the problems over image rights of the player.

But such big interest would suggest they would return for the Argentinian in the January transfer window.

That would only be possible if he was still at Juventus of course, and not snapped up by another club.

Which looks as if it will be the case.

Here's the latest on Dybala's future.

Daniel Levy meeting

Things have been really up in the air around Tottenham so far this season.

Mauricio Pochettino has not been happy, the squad has been unsettled and on the pitch they've had a win, a draw and a desperately disappointing defeat.

The North London Derby awaits on Sunday and after that an international break to take stock of everything.

And there is a meeting planned between chairman and manager.

Read all about that here.

Starting lineup decision

The North London Derby is upon us.

And Tottenham need a result to kickstart their season.

Defeat at home to Newcastle United last weekend was not part of the early season plan and losing to fierce rivals Arsenal today will only make things worse.

Spurs will be without Tanguy Ndombele for the clash at the Emirates, among a few others.

But former player Dimitar Berbatov knows who should be playing instead.

Read what he had to say here.

As good as Liverpool

Are Tottenham as good as Liverpool?

Last season's Premier League table and the Champions League final would suggest not.

But Burnley manager Sean Dyche watched his side lose to the Reds on Saturday evening and he mentioned Spurs in the same bracket as the Reds, and Manchester City for that matter, in one respect.

Read what that was here.
