Spurs news: Big Harry Kane issue, Trippier's Pochettino admission, Daniel Levy dilemma

Tottenham appear to have come through their issues.

But we will only know that for sure after the international break.

Defeat at home to Newcastle two weeks ago was a real concern for the club, but they followed it up with a fine 2-2 draw away at fierce rivals Arsenal.

And with the European transfer windows now closed, the squad should be completely settled.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino will certainly be hoping so anyway, as will the supporters.

Here, in one place for you, are the biggest Spurs stories from the past 24 hours.

Harry Kane penalty issue

There was plenty of chatter after Sunday's North London Derby.

Most of it centred around Tottenham's claim for an injury-time penalty.

Harry Kane went down under a clumsy challenge from Sokratis in the box, but no spot-kick was given.

It divided opinion, but there was something that everyone missed.

Read about that here.

Trippier on Pochettino

Kieran Trippier has enjoyed a good start to life in Spain.

The right-back has played every minute of Atletico Madrid's three La Liga games so far, as Diego Simeone's side have started with a 100% record.

He has won his place back in the England team too, for the upcoming games with Bulgaria and Kosovo.

Life is good for Trippier, and he has spoken about his time with Mauricio Pochettino and why he left the club.

Fernando Llorente decision

Fernando Llorente has left Tottenham and signed for Napoli.

But, didn't that happen months ago?

Well, kind of.

The Spaniard's contract at Spurs was up in July, but he was never on the released list.

Llorente signed for Napoli on Monday though, as a free agent he could sign for any club at any time, not bound by transfer window rules, so why did it take so long for Spurs to announce that he had left?

Here's why.

Contract dilemmas

The contract situation regarding Toby Alderweireld, Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen at Spurs is well documented.

The trio are now in the final year of their deals at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and will be able to leave on free transfers come the start of July.

Spurs have a decision to make over the players sooner rather than later as they simply cannot afford to let them go for absolutely nothing come the summer.

But the club are going to be in the same boat this time next year.

A number of other players will be entering the final year of their contracts then too.
