Spurs news: Arsenal and Tottenham flaws, Kane vs Aubameyang, impact of failed Dybala transfer

It's a big weekend for Tottenham Hotspur.

The North London Derby is always a big occasion, but having tasted defeat to lowly Newcastle last weekend, there is added emphasis on this one.

Suffer defeat and they could find themselves a whopping eight points adrift of Liverpool after only four games of the season.

There is plenty for Mauricio Pochettino to think about ahead of the game and lots for the fans to ponder too.

Here we round up the biggest Spurs stories from the past 24 hours.

Tactical changes

Mauricio Pochettino needs a response from his Tottenham players.

Defeat at home to Newcastle United this early in the season was not part of the plan.

And defeat to big rivals Arsenal in the first North London Derby of the new campaign would be catastrophic.

Pochettino has a number of changes that he can make to the first team, and tactical tweaks too.

Here Rob Guest takes a look at how he can line the team up differently.

The flaws

Arsenal and Spurs are both going into the North London Derby on the back of defeats in the Premier League.

The Gunners lost to Liverpool, while Spurs suffered a shock reverse at the hands of Newcastle.

Neither team is firing on all cylinders and both of them have their flaws.

But which of them will be able to put them to one side to claim the bragging rights on Sunday.

We take a look here.

Striker test

Much of the focus in the build-up to the North London Derby will be on the two strikers - Harry Kane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Both will be gunning for the Golden Boot this season, with both on two goals for the campaign so far.

But who has the edge?

One man who has played against both is Cardiff defender Sol Bamba. And he has had his say on the match and who is more difficult to play against.

No back-up

With Fernando Llorente having left the club, Tottenham are a bit light in the striker department.

It's another season of Harry Kane importance to the Lilywhites, with Pochettino's substitutes' bench lacking in attacking options.

The summer move for Juventus striker Paulo Dybala was seen as something of a bonus if it came off for Spurs fans.

But just how important was the move for the Argentinian in the end and what are the implication of a failed move?

Here we analyse Pochettino's options.
