Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko has included playing in the Champions League final with Spurs within the top three moments of his career so far.
The Frenchman was named in the starting 11 for the final against Liverpool back in June, playing 74 minutes of the game. Goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi meant that the Lilywhites had to settle for a runners-up medal, but the 29-year-old has described playing in the final as 'an amazing moment.'
Sissoko was taking part in an interview on the official Spurs website that sees his Tottenham teammates ask him questions, and the midfielder revealed the moments of his career that he will always look back on with fondness when asked by goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.
“There are three," he answered when asked what was the best moment of his career. "The first was when I made my professional debut for Toulouse against Valenciennes away. My first game. It was a great moment. My dream became true. We lost that game but for me, it was an amazing day.
"After that, the final of Euro 2016 with my national team and then the final of the Champions League – two great moments for a player because you want to play in the biggest matches.
"I had the chance to play in the Euros in France – unlucky, we lost it and of course everyone knows what happened in June, but it was an amazing moment.”
The player was also asked by Hugo Lloris how he feels when the fans sing his name.
"I’m really, really proud of that," he answered. "First, because of where I came from, the beginning was tough. It means a lot. On the pitch, you feel strong, you feel proud.”
