Spurs first half ratings vs Juventus: Erik Lamela scores as Troy Parrott shines up front

Paulo Gazzaniga

The Argentine made one comfortable save from Mandzukic. 6

Kyle Walker-Peters

Getting his chance at right-back for the first time since Trippier's departure, he helped stop an early Ronaldo shot with a sliding tackle and then did the same again just before the half hour with an even better block to stop the Portuguese star in his tracks. Made some strong runs down the right. Very impressive display in the opening 45 minutes. 8

Toby Alderweireld

Captain for the match, the Belgian also played his part in blocking that early Ronaldo effort. Dealt with Juve's threat well. 7

Japhet Tanganga

His first start for Pochettino and he had Ronaldo on his hands at times but he did very well and looked composed throughout. 7

Anthony Georgiou

Normally a winger but also able to play left-back, the Cyprus international gave the ball away early on but got forward as well, firing in a couple of dangerous crosses and sending one shot wide. 6

Harry Winks

Very much the beating heart of Tottenham's play, demanding the ball and covering plenty of ground. Looked really up for it. 7

Oliver Skipp

A busy performance from the 18-year-old midfielder, snapping at Juve heels, doing the leg work in the centre of the pitch. 6

Erik Lamela

He was in the right place at the right time in the space created by Parrott's run to slam home the goal on 30 minutes. 7

Dele Alli

He flitted from the left of a midfield three to linking up with Son and Parrott and tried to link up everything in the final third. 6

Son Heung-min

He sent two early shots into the side-netting and tried another from distance under some constant attention from the Juve defenders. 7

Troy Parrott

His first minutes under Pochettino and the 17-year-old picked out Son for a big chance early on and did the same again moments later in a bright start. He made a clever run for Spurs' goal, overlapping Son instead of running into the centre and it left space for Lamela to follow up his shot in the middle. He also had the ball in the net and it should have been a goal but Son was wrongly adjudged offside from his pass beforehand. He then picked up a yellow card for booting Cancelo in the face accidentally.  8
