Alert in the opening minute as he raced off his line to clear danger after a shocking pass from Jan Vertonghen. Nothing of note to do after that. 5

Didn't have as much to do in the first half as many feared as Eden Hazard was kept rather quiet. Did make one vital block on the Belgian as he stopped him making his way into the box with a great tackle, before then doing likewise on Marcelo towards the end of the half. 6

Couple of brilliant long balls from the defender in a relatively straightforward half for him. 6
Jan Vertonghen
Dreadful pass early on as he played it short and Karim Benzema nearly went through to open the scoring. Steady from there on. 5
Danny Rose
Excellent start from the defender on his return to the team as he defended well and made some positive runs. Really good ball in from the left early on as Raphael Varane got away with one as the ball went through his legs. Then almost created the opener as his cross was inadvertently nearly turned in by one of the Real Madrid team as Keylor Navas pushed the ball around the post. 7
Tanguy Ndombele
Stung the palms of Navas with a thunderous drive from outside the box midway through the half. Decent showing in midfield from the club record signing. 7

Played himself into danger outside his box midway through the half but calm and comfortable for the majority of the opening 45 minutes. 6

Good couple of runs from the attacker and was unlucky to see Luka Modric cut out his through ball to Erik Lamela. 7

Couple of neat bits of play from the Dane but not involved as much as some as his fellow attackers. 6

Outstanding first half from the Argentine as he was always involved in Spurs' forays forward. Picked out Eriksen early on with a lofted ball and then played Rose in with an superb pass. Unlucky not to have an assist to his name as Navas saved from Kane. 8
Harry Kane
Excellent finish from the striker after a dreadful pass from Marcelo. Troubled the Real defence throughout the half with some good running and was unlucky to not have another goal to his tally. 7
