Tottenham Hotspur have made up for lost time this summer by signing the likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Ryan Sessegnon and Giovanni Lo Celso but the big question is how are they going to start the new campaign?
Spurs open the season at home to Aston Villa on Saturday evening and pundits aplenty have been predicting what they think will transpire in the capital.
Pundits Michael Owen, Mark Lawrenson and Charlie Nicholas have been offering up their verdicts on the game and they all agree on the outcome.
Villa may have spent big this summer also as they aim to avoid relegation following their Championship play-off final win in May.
But Spurs will have too much for Dean Smith's side according to the trio of pundits.
"Aston Villa's summer transfer signings have made a lot of sense, and they have also got good momentum after the way they came up from the Championship - although I cannot see it helping them too much on Saturday," Lawrenson told the BBC.
"I think Spurs will be far too strong for them, but Villa still have the best chance of staying up of any of the promoted teams."
Lawrenson is predicting a 2-0 win for Tottenham, while Owen feels that the hosts will prevail but both teams will score. Nicholas, meanwhile, expects a 3-1 win for Mauricio Pochettino's men.
"It has taken time for Tottenham to adjust to this stadium and it will take them time to break Villa down, perhaps the 70th to 75th minute,"Nicholas told Sky Sports.
"Spurs' goals will come late on"
