Spurs fans will love what Jose Mourinho has said about Dele Alli and Son Heung-min

The appointment of Jose Mourinho as Tottenham head coach seems to have brought the very best out of Dele Alli.

Looking a shadow of his former self over the past 18 months, the midfielder has been an integral part of the experienced manager's team in his opening three games in charge.

Playing a major role in the first two goals at West Ham, Alli then scored against Olympiacos before hitting a double on Saturday in the 3-2 win over Bournemouth.

Clearly thriving under Mourinho, the 56-year-old was quizzed at his pre-match press conference if Alli could even go on and win the Ballon d'Or in the future if he keeps on progressing.

"He can do anything he wants," he told reporters. "I think he has the talent, he has already the right age, the right experience, already experience at the highest level, playing the Champions League, playing for the national team in the biggest competitions, lots of talent, young. He has everything.

"It is just a question about motivation every day. This is not an individual thing, this is about everybody.

"When we speak about Dele, we speak about me, we speak about my staff, we speak about the fellow players.

"A player is an individual, but at the end of the day he is not an individual, he is part of a collective, he is all of us."

With Lionel Messi picking up the Ballon d'Or gong on Monday, Spurs star Son Heung-min also claimed another prize after winning the AFC Asian International Player of the Year award for a record third time.

His success has gone down extremely well with his Spurs teammates and the attacker has certainly made an instant impression on Mourinho.

"Speaking about players, I want to congratulate Son, the third time in a row Asian player of the year," he added.

"I am here for 10 or 12 days, in love with that guy, so I can imagine the people that are here with him four or five years....fantastic player, fantastic boy. Everyone in the club is so, so happy with him.

"I have some friends in football but if I have to choose the top three, I would choose one of my former assistant Jose Morais.

"Two days ago he was champion of South Korea and I want to offer to congratulate him because he is champion."
