Spurs fans will love how Dimitar Berbatov reacted to Dele Alli's goal vs Man United

Dimitar Berbatov has hailed Tottenham playmaker Dele Alli after his fantastic goal in the Premier League clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford this evening.

Alli has endured a rough season so far but is starting to make his mark since the arrival of Jose Mourinho after Mauricio Pochettino was sacked last moth.

The 23-year-old had a great relationship with Pochettino whilst he was at the club but he found game-time difficult to come by during the back end of the Argentine's time in the capital.

However, Mourinho has made Alli one of the focal points of his side since taking over and the England international has responded well.

Jose Mourinho says his time at Manchester United is “a closed chapter”

Alli had scored three goals in two matches in all competitions ahead of facing United and he added another in the first half.

The attacking midfielder did well to control the ball inside the box before firing home, with the goal eventually confirmed by VAR as claims for a handball were turned away.

Berbatov, who was known for equally flashy goals during his career for the likes of Tottenham and United, was on hand to give his assessment of the impressive effort.

"It was a piece of magic. Those are the types of goals that I want to see," Berbatov told Amazon Prime.

"I tried to score goals like that in my career and sometimes I did but this is unbelievable. Look at that piece of magic.

"It's intentional and he knows what he's doing. It's not a coincidence. He knows where he is and that there are two players around him and he just has that plan. He flicks it and it's perfect. It just made my night."
