Spurs fans will love Gary Lineker’s verdict on Son Heung-min’s stunning strike against Burnley

Gary Lineker believes Son Heung-min may have scored the goal of the season in Tottenham’s clash with Burnley this afternoon.

The South Korean international scored a stunning solo effort against the Clarets, picking up the ball in his own half before taking on several Burnley players and firing home past Nick Pope.

It was Spurs' third goal of the afternoon as Jose Mourinho’s men ran riot in the first half at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

But former Tottenham forward Gary Lineker has been waxing lyrical about Son's goal on social media.

The Match of the Day presenter took to social media to deliver his verdict on the stunning goal, with Lineker describing it as "one of the greatest individual goals" anyone is likely to see.

He tweeted: "Wow. Son has just scored one of the greatest individual goals you’re ever likely to see. Goal of the season, me thinks."

Son's goal was his tenth of the season in all competitions for Spurs in 20 games.

It is also his second goal since Jose Mourinho took charge at Spurs, having also netted in the Portuguese manager's first game against West Ham, after he replaced Mauricio Pochettino at the helm in north London.
