Tottenham's display against Olympiacos has been described as "a bit Spursy" by former striker Gary Lineker.
Mauricio Pochettino's men led 2-0 in Greece against Olympiacos, with first half goals from Harry Kane and Lucas Moura giving the visitors a 2-0 advantage.
But Daniel Podence reduced the deficit shortly before half time, before Olympiacos levelled the score early in the second half, with Mathieu Valbuena picking himself up to convert from the penalty spot after being fouled in the box by Jan Vertonghen.
Neither side was able to force a winner thereafter as the game finished 2-2, with Spurs' performance leading to criticism from pundits, including former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas and ex-Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand .
But the most infuriating verdict on Tottenham's performance for Spurs fans came from a former Spurs striker.
When asking Ferdinand for his thoughts on the display, BT Sport host Gary Lineker said: “Well that was what a little bit, what they call, Spursy.”
In reply, Ferdinand said he felt Spurs would be "kicking themselves" after throwing away a two-goal lead, while he said Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino would be "gutted" with some individuals.
“As a team performance it was slack and lax, lacklustre, and as you said, really Spursy, really, if you want to put it like that," he said to Lineker.
The former Spurs striker then moved to try and clarify his comment, saying: “Well, I didn’t want to put it like that.”
