Spurs fans send message to Jose Mourinho ahead of FA Cup third round draw

Spurs are set to find out their opponents for the third round of the FA Cup on Monday evening.

The north London side have not won the competition since 1991 when they beat Nottingham Forest after extra time at Wembley.

During Mauricio Pochettino's tenure, Spurs faced disappointment in their quest to add to a trophy haul football's oldest competition.

In the 2014/15 season, Leicester ended their season with a 2-1 win in the fourth round. The following year, it was a 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in the fifth round.

In 2016/17 and 2017/18, they reached the semi-finals but came up short against Chelsea and Manchester United respectively.

And then last season they were knocked out by Palace again with a 1-0 defeat, this time in the fourth round.

Some supporters and pundits were critical of Pochettino's approach to the cup competition, which represented a good chance of picking up silverware.

The Argentine coach regularly fielded weaker teams in the FA Cup and League Cup during his time in north London.

And now some Spurs fans are hoping that can change with the arrival of Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese coach has won the FA Cup twice, once as Chelsea manager and again as Manchester United boss.

Spurs fans sent a message to the 56-year-old about what they want from this year's competition.
