Spurs fans loved what Tanguy Ndombele did before VAR ruled out Serge Aurier's goal vs Leicester

Tottenham Hotspur were left ruing in the introduction of VAR to the Premier League this season.

Leading 1-0 against Leicester City at the weekend, Serge Aurier thought he had doubled the visitors lead midway through the second half.

However, VAR spotted Son Heung-min was offside in the build up and ruled the goal out which Mauricio Pochettino admitted have the Foxes the lift they needed to complete the turnaround.

"We need to say that when you get the benefit, it's not getting the benefit, it's fair or not fair, offside or not offside. I'm not going to talk," Pochettino told reporters after the game.

"I'm only going to say that we all accept that system in the game and now I am not going to complain.

"I am going to accept that maybe if you are going to say it's offside or wasn't if it wasn't clear, but I trust in the referees and if the referees say it was or wasn't I'm not going to complain.

"I think we need to analyse the game in a different way and not include the VAR.

"We need to accept that it's completely fair the rules. I'm not disappointed with that, I'm disappointed because we conceded two goals and the emotion of the game changed.

"Giving that decision to Leicester made that thing happen in the last 10 minutes."

Despite VAR’s intervention, some Spurs fans loved how club record signing Tanguy Ndombele celebrated Aurier’s ‘goal’.

Interestingly, some Spurs fans have noted just how different the mood would have been had Aurier's strike been allowed to stand.
