Spurs fans gatecrashing Pochettino press conference, angry Rose - 7 moments you may have missed

That goalkeeper welcome

Tottenham's goalkeepers had mixed fortunes when it came to their welcomes from the Ajax crowd.

The fans inside the Johan Cruyff ArenA were noisy and very much pumped up. So when they saw Paulo Gazzaniga and Michel Vorm emerge from the tunnel to warm up before the match the boos were loud and merciless.

Hugo Lloris clearly knew better though. He waited until the Ajax players emerged to massive cheers and crept out just behind them, escaping any ill feeling from the noisy home faithful.

Lamela and Foyth putting on a skills show

When the players went in after their warm-up, just two Tottenham players remained out on the turf.

Erik Lamela and Juan Foyth just didn't seem to want to leave the pitch and the duo started up a keepy uppy session with skills, flicks and tricks aplenty in order to keep the ball in the air.

It ended only when Lamela flicked the ball up and over Foyth and ran round to catch it perfectly on the top of his foot.

In the end it was Lamela who would do one better late on by getting on the pitch in the second half.

Angry Danny Rose at half-time

Tottenham's players emerged for the second half, hoping there was some way they could turn around the 3-0 deficit.

They stood on the pitch and waited, and waited, and waited.

The Ajax players left them out there, taking an age to emerge from their dressing room and then even more time to come out from the tunnel on to the pitch.

One Spurs player wasn't shy about making his feelings known about the situation.

Danny Rose walked over, not looking too happy, and peered down the tunnel and appeared to say something at those Ajax players in the tunnel.

They soon emerged and it was Rose and Spurs who had the last laugh.

Running man Hugo

Hugo Lloris sprinted the length of the field twice in the final minutes of the match in Amsterdam.

The first came when he went up for what everyone assumed was Tottenham's last chance of the match, a corner which Fernando Llorente ended up headed over the crossbar.

He sprinted back to his goalmouth only to make the same run again a minute or two later, but this time it was in ecstasy.

When Lucas Moura slotted home that dramatic winning goal, Lloris just didn't want to miss out on the celebrations, hurtling down the length of the pitch to leap on them.

It looks great in the videos from fans at the ground as you just see the lone figure of the Frenchman flying down the pitch.

Tears all round

There was many a tear shed on the night and not least from Mauricio Pochettino and Lucas Moura.

Pochettino was gone from the moment he reached his players on the pitch as he ran across, the enormity of what he, his staff and players had achieved in the Amsterdam night.

He continued his tears in his early post-match interviews, barely able to control the emotion in his voice.

Lucas Moura was tearful on the pitch and like Pochettino he continued that in his media duties, breaking down when he was shown his winning goal plus the commentary from back home in Brazil.

Lucas getting his ball

It wasn't just about the tears though, Lucas wanted his hat-trick ball more than anything.

That led to a great moment when he and his team-mates returned to the pitch and he walked across to the far corner to retrieve the ball that he had gleefully fired home to send Tottenham into the Champions League final.

As he walked back across the pitch, his Spurs team-mates applauded him, acknowledging his massive role in the night and the club's history.

Fans in the press conference room

Pochettino's press conference had two strange moments to end it.

It's well known now that he walked out when he heard the final question asking if Harry Kane would be fit - the Spurs boss always thinks it's disrespectful to talk about other players as if they're better than the ones who did the job, and what a job at that.

What happened after was equally bizarre though.

As he was walking out, someone shouted: 'Hey Mauricio, you know what?'

He stopped and turned, and the person added: "You're magic you know."

Pochettino didn't quite know what was going on, the person had to repeat it and he eventually understood, smiled, waved and thanked them.

It appeared that two Spurs fans had managed to get into the press room and they were desperate to let the manager know how they felt.

It was cheesy as anything but on a night like this nobody particularly minded.
