Spurned cop stalked ex and threatened to send pics to her new lover

A spurned police officer stalked his former partner and threatened to send photos of her to her new boyfriend.

Nicholas De Juliis, 42, bombarded his victim with hundreds of texts, phone calls and emails, more than two years after they split up.

Nicholas De Juliis appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court (Ross Turpie)

De Juliis, a special constable with Police Scotland, threatened to disclose “intimate” messages and photos, and told her he knew where her partner stayed.

She was left terrified that he was hacking into her private accounts because he knew she was going on trips away and what she was doing in her social life.

The woman repeatedly begged De Juliis, who also works in banking, to stop but he continued to pester her until she blocked his number and called police.

De Juliis, of Renfrew, admitted at Hamilton Sheriff Court that he stalked the woman between April and August 2018.

He will be sentenced next month.

Prosecutor Jennifer McCabe told the court he had sent her 350 messages in a two-month period, adding: “The accused threatened to show her current partner messages that were of an intimate nature.”
