Springholm resident gives village bus stop a much needed clean-up

Springholm’s bus stop has been given a much needed clean-up.

Liz Beswick went out with a bucket of hot, soapy water to give the shelter a spruce up earlier this month.

She said: “I just thought it would be something good to do to cheer people up and my own house has never looked so clean so I needed something else.

“It hasn’t been cleaned in so many years. There was green stuff that took a while to come off. It probably took an hour-and-a-half or two hours.

“Afterwards I felt good about myself and I’ve had lots of lovely comments.

“Not many people are waiting for a bus at the moment but it means where they are it looks nice and it smells nice.”

Liz moved on to doing some litter picking on Monday.
