Springholm nursery kids enjoy space week and flower planting before holidays

Springholm Nursery finished off a busy term with Space Week.

The youngsters found out about the names of some of the planets, imagined being astronauts, sang songs and joined in dance and movement sessions to keep them fit and active for their space missions.

They were also out and about investigating their shadows when the sun decided to appear. It’s hard work being astronauts and Jack and Mollie had a well earned rest in the space den.

The children were also busy planting winter flowers donated by Tesco Castle Douglas in their planters donated by Bute I Full Garden Centre.

Jack and Kevan used the Springholm planter at the Memorial Hall, Angus and Maisie Marchbank planted for Corsock and Ali Hennan planted for Kirkpatrick Durham.

Thanks to parents for collecting and helping with planting. The final planter for Crocketford will be arriving soon,
