Springburn Road closed after two vehicle crash involving ambulance in North Glasgow

Springburn Road was closed for an hour after a two-vehicle crash involving an ambulance.

Police were called to the scene by a Shell garage in the north of Glasgow, shortly after 9.30am this morning.

Police Scotland have since confirmed there were no serious injuries and the road has now re-opened.

A 90-year-old man has been reported in connection with road traffic offences.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed to Glasgow Live this afternoon: "Police were called around 9.35am on Saturday, 3 April, 2021 following the report of a two vehicle road crash on Springburn Road, Glasgow.

"There does not appear to be any serious injuries and the road was closed for around one hour.

"A 90-year-old man has been reported in connection with road traffic offences."
