Springboig road closed off to drivers after crash

Drivers are being warned to avoid a road in the east end after an earlier crash.

The incident, reported just before 3pm, has led to the closure of Edinburgh Road.

The area is inaccessible between Wellhouse Road/Hallhill Road and Barrachnie Road.

Council traffic officers are urging motorists to find an alternative route.

A statement reads: "Due to an earlier road traffic collision, Edinburgh Road is closed between Wellhouse Road/Hallhill Road and Barrachnie Road.

"Road users are advise to use an alternative route."

The condition of those involved is unknown at this time.
