Spotted: Lamborghini May Already Cooking up a Hotter Revuelto 'S'

You can't stay still in the car world, and that's doubly true with supercars. Lamborghini just brought out the crazy, 1,001-horsepower Revuelto, but it seems the company is already working on a hotter version. Is this the Revuelto "S?"

This spy video comes to us from NCars on YouTube, which caught the Revuelto and some other Lamborghini prototypes testing in Spain. The car is only very lightly camouflaged, with a wrap on the front hood and nowhere else. There's some data-logging equipment attached to the roof, too, but otherwise, this doesn't look all that different from a normal Revuelto.

Typically, Lamborghini rolls out an updated version of a car after it's been in production for a few years. For the Revuelto's predecessor, the Aventador, the original model was introduced in 2011, while the SV version debuted in 2015. Lamborghini then replaced the base model with the Aventador S in 2016. But lately, Lamborghini has been cranking out model variants more frequently.

This prototype's lack of visual distinction from the standard Revuelto means it could be fairly early in its development cycle. Lamborghini may be just testing hardware updates before it starts rolling out prototypes that'll look more like the eventual production model. Or, the company could just be testing some new piece of hardware or a software tweak.

Along with this Revuelto, Lamborghini was caught testing several Temerario models, none of which were camouflaged. The company also had a few Urus SUVs out, some of which were wearing full camo wraps. The Temerario is, obviously, brand new, and the Urus got a pretty major update last year with the debut of the hybrid SE model

Whatever Lamborghini is cooking up, we can be certain it's cooking up something. After all, the supercar world doesn't stay still.
