Thailand forward Supachai Chaided has been tipped as one of the most exciting young stars to watch at next month's Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
The 20-year-old Pattani native only made his senior international debut earlier this year, but already has three goals to his name -- all of which came in the recent AFF Suzuki Cup. Supachai played and scored at the Asian Games (U23) in August, while he also made his AFC Champions League bow with Buriram United, where he has now won back-to-back league titles.
Besides Supachai, there are other nine young stars that will arrive in the UAE full of promise including Nguyen Quang Hai (Vietnam), Turki Al Ammar (Saudi Arabia), Hwang In-Beom (South Korea), Mohanad Ali (Iraq), Ritsu Doan (Japan), Bassam Hisham (Qatar), Dostonbek Khamdamov (Uzbekistan), Khalfan Mubarak (UAE) and Oday Dabbagh (Palestine).
Thailand are one of the 24 teams that qualified for the 2019 Asian Cup, which will kick off from Jan 5 to Feb 1.
The War Elephants have been drawn in Group A along with India, Bahrain and UAE.
They will play the first game against India on Jan 6 at Abu Dhabi's Al Nahyan Stadium, then the second match will be against Bahrain on Jan 10 at Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai while the last match of the group stage will be against hosts UAE on Jan 14 at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.
Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac announced his 27 probables last week.
The list featured four foreign-based stars including goalkeeper Kawin Thamsatchanan (OH Leuven), Chanathip Songkrasin (Consadole Sapporo), Teerasil Dangda (Sanfrecce Hiroshima) and Theerathon Bunmathan (Vissel Kobe).
Four players, however, will not make the journey to the United Arab Emirates next month, as Rajevac has revealed his intentions to name his final 23-player after a friendly match against Thai League 2's Thai Honda FC next Wednesday.
