Spotlight to open in Gungahlin in July

Canberra's first Spotlight store is due to open soon.

The new store, behind Bunnings Gungahlin, is due to open on July 1. Sewing circles are already abuzz with the news.

The only other Spotlight store nearby to the ACT is in Queanbeyan.

Spotlight, founded in 1973, is a privately owned and operated Australian family business selling everything from fabric to homewares.

It has firm fans including a Facebook group called Spotlight Addicts Australia.
