Spotify users are cringing over their top songs for 2020 - here's how to find yours

If you use Twitter, its likely your feed has been full of people sharing their top Spotify songs of 2020.

Spotify released its annual personalised Spotify Wrapped playlists today, allowing users to see their most played songs, artists, genres and podcasts of the year.

While many people are proudly showing off their lists, others are cringing over their listening habits.

One user tweeted: “That time of year when Spotify reminds me of my cringe music taste.”

Another wrote: “Did anyone else cringe at their Top 2020 songs on Spotify or was it just me.”

And one joked: “I strongly feel that people should enjoy whatever makes them happy without being embarrassed but the fact that the hamilton soundtrack was my 5th most listen to album on spotify is EMBARRASSING AS HELL.”

To see your Wrapped playlist, either head to spotify.com/wrapped, or simply log in to your Spotify app.

Once you’re in, you’ll discover your top artist, top song through each season, top podcasts, genres, and total minutes streamed in 2020.

If you’re not too embarrassed by your list, you can share the results with your friends through Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat or Facebook.

This year, Spotify has also added a few new features to help you reminisce on your listening habits this year.

Spotify has included in-app quizzes as well as a Story of Your 2020, which you can easily share on your Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat or Twitter.

Users will also have access to new personalised playlists.

Spotify explained: “These range from Your Top Songs, the songs you loved most this year in one convenient place, to Missed Hits, our Wrapped discovery playlist where we recommend popular similar 2020 releases you didn’t listen to that we think you might like.

“Plus, listeners in the U.S., UK and Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada can dig deeper into some of your top artists of 2020 in On Record, a mixed media experience that highlights your top 2020 artists.”
