Spotify unveils new features for paying subscribers

  • Spotify is rolling out a higher-quality lossless audio option for its paying subscribers, available now in some markets and expanding next month.
  • This new feature allows tracks to be streamed in up to 24-bit and 44.1 kilohertz FLAC, alongside various other listening modes.
  • Subscribers will also receive a tool to monitor their data usage while streaming music.
  • The move is part of Spotify's strategy to convert its large base of free users into paying subscribers.
  • For optimal listening, Spotify advises using Wi-Fi with wired headphones or Spotify Connect.
