Spotify Premium users in India now get travel, shopping discounts and exclusive music events

If you're already paying for Spotify Premium in India, your subscription is about to offer more than just ad-free music and offline downloads.

Spotify has launched Premium Rewards in India, a limited-period programme that gives Premium subscribers access to discounts from brands such as MakeMyTrip, Nykaa, Tira, Ajio Luxe, Gully Labs and Airbnb, along with invite-only music events and listening sessions.

The company says the initiative is aimed at turning Spotify Premium into a membership with lifestyle benefits, instead of just a music subscription.

Apart from partner offers, Premium members will also be able to attend exclusive live events, intimate listening sessions and other music-focused experiences designed for subscribers.

For those looking to sign up, Spotify's Standard Premium plan is currently available at an introductory offer of ₹139 for the first two months, after which it renews at ₹139 per month. The Student plan is priced at ₹69 for the first two months, followed by ₹69 per month for eligible verified students. Spotify also offers a Platinum plan at ₹299 per month, which includes up to three accounts for people living at the same address, lossless audio quality, AI-powered features such as a personal AI DJ and AI playlist creation, and support for connecting DJ software.

"Spotify Premium has always been about giving you the best way to experience audio — high-quality, uninterrupted listening with offline access. With Premium Rewards, we wanted to take that feeling further into the places you go, the brands you love and the experiences that stay with you," said Shipra Srivastava, Head of Marketing, Spotify India.

Spotify said the rewards are available to all Premium subscribers in India through a dedicated microsite, where users can browse and claim available offers. The company added that new partner deals and experiences will be introduced on an ongoing basis.

The Premium Rewards programme is available now and is being offered as a limited-edition initiative.
