Spotify predicts Eurovision Song Contest WINNER - and it's not good news for UK

It’s become a staple feature in many music fans’ calendars, and now the Eurovision Song Contest final is finally almost here.

Tomorrow, 26 finalists will go head-to-head at an event in Tel Aviv, in a battle to be crowned the winner.

In the run-up to the final, Spotify has released its predictions for the winners - and it’s not good news for the UK.

The predictions are based on each song’s popularity on Spotify, and it seems that Itlay’s hit ‘Soldi’ by Mahmood is a strong favourite.

Meanwhile, Sweden’s ‘Too Late for Love’ by John Lundvik and the Netherlands’ ‘Arcade’ by Duncan Laurence were also popular choices.

Sadly, the UK’s offering ‘Bigger Than Us’ by Micahel Rice, didn’t make the cut in Spotify’s predictions.

The Grand Final of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest takes place Saturday 18 May in Tel Aviv, Israel.
