Spotify is giving away Google smart speakers to its Premium subscribers - for free.
The catch is that the offer is only available to customers in the US.
The monster giveaway, announced this morning, applies to both new and existing customers. Meaning anyone state-side who pays for the ad-free music streaming service can claim their own Google Home Mini device.
The sleek voice-activated speaker has Google’s AI Assistant built in, and usually retails for £49.99.
But now American Spotify users can get their hands on one without spending a dime, starting from today.
Spotify announced the news to its 100 million current Premium users on Tuesday morning, reminding them to claim their gift “while stocks last”.
“And it gets better,” it said in an online statement. “We’re also looking forward to rolling out new features with Google that make it even easier to discover and listen to Spotify via Google Home Mini and other Assistant powered devices.”

Subscribers in the UK and other countries will have to hope the offer moves overseas soon.
