Spotify app crashes leaving Scots unable to access their favourite tunes

Scots Spotify users have been reportedly unable to access their favourite tunes due to a bug in the app.

Thousands of people flooded Down Detector with reports of issues with the popular music streaming service at around 11am this morning.

Around 59 per cent of those have had issues with streaming music, 36 per cent in logging in and 4 per cent had problems accessing the website.

The outage has affected users across the globe - with people in the US and across Europe also experiencing similar problems.

Android and web versions of the streaming service appear to be working as normal.

However, there were issues in accessing the iPhone version as the app continued to crash.

Spotify is now looking into the error following a surge in reports from disgruntled users.

A spokesperson for Spotify said: “Something’s out of tune. We are currently investigating and we’ll keep you posted.”
