Spot yourself on the dancefloor at Clatty Pats in these amazing photos of the much-missed nightclub

Amidst all the news just now (and we won't go into the doom and gloom of it) it's safe to say that everyone is longing for a good boogie.

What we wouldn't give to have a few hours on a sticky floor under a disco ball!

And, while we hope that one day we will be able to return to that soon, there is nothing like having a wee trip down memory lane to refresh yourself of the good memories.

And we reckon there's a few of you who remember this gone-but-not-forgotten club.

Back in the golden days, the Great Western Road night spot was (somewhat affectionately) nicknamed Clatty Pats, and it holds fond memories for many an 80s or 90s clubber.

Owner Tina Conway told the Daily Record: "Its status is the weirdest thing as there have been hundreds of nightclubs but they’re not iconic in the same way as Cleopatra’s.

“It’s this club everybody goes on about. Who knew when we opened it we’d still be talking about it today?”

The west end building is now Viper - although there have been a few Clatty Pats revival nights in recent years (we're keeping our eyes peeled for the next one).

And with many of you taking a walk down memory lane at the mention of the place, we thought it high time to delve into the archives and look out a few pictures from the Clatty Pats dancefloor.

So here they are, dodgy clubbing clothes and all - remember to let us know over on Facebook or Twitter if you spot someone you know.
