Sportsbook refunding Mitchell Trubisky MVP wagers

If you put money on Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to win MVP this season, then one sportsbook is willing to forgive you for your foolishness.

PointsBet Sportsbook (which offers betting in New Jersey and Iowa) has offered to pay back the money placed on Trubisky this offseason.

During the offseason, the odds on Trubisky winning MVP were 200-1, which sparked an influx of bets, causing the odds to shift to 50-1.

After a not-so-inspiring performance over the first half of the season, Trubisky’s current odds have taken a nose dive. If fans were to bet on him now at PointsBet, they would win $50,000 on a $100 bet.

Marcus Mariota and Andy Dalton have the same odds of winning MVP — and they’ve been benched by their respective teams.

Trubisky was PointsBet’s largest liability heading into the season, but they’ve refunded all bets made on him.
