A sports website has been launched that publishes articles written by fans. Sports Voice (slogan: say it like it is) is seeking opinionated stories from a variety of writers - for free.
The site's anonymous creator is pitching for contributions from journalism students, saying: "During your studies you will be learning to write articles and producing them regularly. Why not put it into action and start adding
to your CV now?"
He/she adds: "It's more than just telling the facts. It's about writing engaging content that sparks discussion... We want to provoke debate and generate discussions."
Well, of course you/they do. That will bring traffic and that may bring advertisers. But there's nothing like a trier. And I guess it's a forum for wannabe sports hacks willing to write for no reward beyond seeing their material on the screen.
