It's that time of year once more with the BBC's Sports Personality of the Year ceremony set to take place.
Tyson Fury, Raheem Sterling, Sarah Storey, Emma Raducanu, Adam Peaty and Tom Daley are the nominees for this year's top gong with each achieving superb individual and team accolades across the year.
Ahead of tonight's ceremony, the Manchester Evening News looks at some notable winners in recent years.
Lewis Hamilton, 2020
Formula One and motorsport hero Sir Lewis Hamilton collected last year's prize after winning his seventh world title, cementing himself as one of F1's all-time great drivers.
His title last year was also his fourth in a row, but he was denied another just last week when Max Verstappen pipped him on the final lap of the season in Abu Dhabi.
Sir Mo Farah, 2017
Then 10,000m champion Sir Mo Farah edged the vote in 2017 after a stellar individual year that saw him become a four-time Olympic champion.
Still seen as one of Team GB's best ever athletes, Farah beat both World Superbike champion Jonathan Rea and two-time Paralaympic champion Jonnie Peacock to the award.
Sir Bradley Wiggins, 2012

2012 saw cyclist and then Tour De France winner Bradley Wiggins collect the coveted prize after a string of fine individual achievements.
Wiggins was also knighted having stormed to win gold in the London 2012 Olympic men's road time trial too.
