Sports jobs in Dublin: Baseball Ireland among those looking to hire staff in the capital

All you sports lovers could well be in luck, as a number of places are looking to hire staff in Dublin.

Jobs can often be bleak and leave you stuck in a rut, but if you're a sports lover, it's hard to imagine not enjoying a job down that avenue.

We've compiled a list of five sports jobs on offer in the capital right now to see if any tickle your fancy.

Coach at Baseball Ireland

One of the lesser-known sports on the Emerald Isle, this one is a bit of a niche for baseball lovers.

Baseball Ireland are looking to recruit a full-time resident development coach to try help the game grow in Ireland.

The salary isn't bad either, with the individual set to pocket around €30,000 annually.

Lifeguard at National Aquatic Centre

The National Aquatic Centre are looking to hire Qualified Lifeguards.

They offer pay rates of €11 per hour and all employees enjoy free usage of the first class gym and pool facilities.

Swimming Teacher at Sports Ireland

Another role involving a strong swimmer, the swim teacher will provide successful delivery of all Swimming Programmes delivered at the Sport Ireland National Aquatic Centre.

They're looking for Full-time, Part-time, and Permanent staff for the roles.

The main task will involve teach the National Aquatic Centre academy and school lessons in line with the 'Swim Ireland Child Learn to Swim' syllabus and guidelines.

Strength and Conditioning coach at Cricket Ireland

Another of one to add to the list of lesser-known sports, cricket lovers will no doubt be licking their lips at this one.

Cricket Ireland is seeking a full-time permanent Strength and Conditioning Coach, in order to help develop the players into leading international cricketers, no pressure so!

The position is based in North Dublin, but the nature of the role will work mainly from the Sport Ireland Institute in Abbottstown and Dublin City University Sport.

You'll need a few things to be considered though, including a Degree (or equivalent) in sport science or related subject, specialising in physical preparation of athletes.

Women in Sport Officer at Irish Athletic Boxing Association

The Irish Athletic Boxing Association are hiring a Women in Sport Officer with the role being 'to project manage and ensure the implementation of current and future programmes while developing strong relationships and providing expertise and support to the grassroots clubs in the area of women’s and girls’ boxing.'

You'll be working closely with the Development Manager and the Operations Manager to plan and implement a structured programme to encourage more females to get involved in coaching and officiating in boxing.

You'll need a third level qualification in Sport Management/Coaching/Development or at least 3-5 years’ work experience in this area.
