Sports Interactive has shared new details about its short-term update plans for the Football Manager 26 Advanced Access Beta, outlining a trio of patches set to roll out this week on Steam.
In a post to the Sports Interactive Community forums, community manager Dan Shephard thanked players for their early feedback since the FM26 Beta launched on Thursday, noting that reports have been “extremely valuable in helping [SI] identify and prioritize fixes.” The FM team has spent the last several days reviewing community posts, bug tracker submissions, and performance reports in order to improve stability and overall gameplay ahead of the game’s full release on November 4.
According to Shephard, the studio currently intends to deliver Public Beta branch updates on Tuesday (October 28), Wednesday (October 29), and Thursday (October 30). These builds will target performance improvements, crash fixes, and polish across multiple areas of the game. However, as each patch must first pass internal QA testing, some may slip to later dates if they don’t clear quality checks. When that happens, the team plans to communicate changes in the following day’s update post.
Because of how the Public Beta branches operate, Epic Games Store users will not have access to these test builds. SI clarified that Beta-branch updates are limited to Steam at this stage.
Shephard also reminded players to continue reporting issues through the official FM26 Bug Tracker and to make use of its search and upvote tools to avoid duplicate submissions. “If your issue has already been reported, you can give the thread a +1 using the upvoting mechanic which allows us to see how widespread an issue is,” Shephard explained. For general impressions and suggestions, users are encouraged to post in the game’s official Feedback thread.
The overall perception of the Football Manager 26 beta has been polarizing, to put it mildly. Here’s hoping that certain big fixes and quality-of-life improvements can be implemented soon.
