'Spooky spelling horrors' spotted at Nottingham tram stops - including 'Old Market Scare'

From now until Halloween, while you're out-and-about, you might notice some 'spooky' changes to your usual tram stops. Operator NET has been getting into the Halloween spirit, installing some twists on tram stop signs across Nottingham this week.

Tram bosses are encouraging customers to try and spot fake names, with 'Old Market Scare' and 'University Boo-louvard' among some of the highlights. With a range of Halloween events happening across Nottingham, Net bosses are also offering families Net group tickets.

Available after 4pm on weekdays or all weekend, the group ticket offers unlimited travel for 2 adults and up to 3 U19s for just £8. NET head of marketing Alison Sweeney said: "Travelling by tram is always a scarily good experience but this Halloween we want to treat our customers to a trick or two.

"There is loads happening around the city for half term and Halloween this year, and our group ticket offers great value family travel, so we hope people will have some fun with us and enjoy our fiendish tricks. From University Boo-levard to Nottingrim Station, there are plenty of spooky spelling horrors to spot.

"We are challenging customers to find all 17 names and would love to see some pictures of the signs especially with any witches, ghouls and vampires that are lurking around the City this Halloween.” The Meadows Embankment stop has also been temporarily renamed to Shadows Embankment.
