Spoof hurts for X Factor Leon

Peter Kay's spoof reality TV show winning song is likely to hit number one on Sunday - beating real-life X Factor winner Leon Jackson. The Winner's Song, sung by Kay's Northern Irish sex-change character Geraldine McQueen after she won Channel 4's spoof Britain's Got the Pop Factor and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice on Sunday is currently at number five in the iTunes chart but is predicted to go to number one in industry estimates. This will prove embarrassing for Jackson, whose comeback song Don't Call This Love was tipped for the top. There is even talk of a Christmas song, which is no doubt prompting this year's X Factor contestants and Simon Cowell to quake in their boots.
