The community in Splott will be treated to a fun day later this month as a bid to build up pride in the area.
The Fun Day, organised by the neighbourhood policing team, will take place on 21 July from 10am-3pm at the Maltings Park.
Residents can expect local entertainment from Eastmoor Dance and police stalls and horses, as well as Billy Blue and Tarian the dragon. There will also be food and drink on offer.
Members of the police said they had recently had a crackdown on the Splott market area in preparation for the day as well as a local litter pick. Operation Express on 17 June, saw one man arrested for possession of cannabis, threes ABSO referrals and three persons reported to trading standards.
Neighbourhood area officer, Mike Neat said:
"We want to promote this area as much as possible. This is for people to be able to come and take part in the community and everyone can work together to enjoy living with each other."
