Split Nottingham couple spill beans on cheating, sex life and what went wrong in BBC's Eating With My Ex

Sex, cheating, families - no subject is off limits in BBC Three's alternative dating show, where two exes share one meal and a quartet of awkward questions in a bid to find out just what went wrong with their relationship.

Eating With My Ex, now available of BBC iPlayer, kicks off series two with an explosive collection of former couples including two students from Nottingham.

Tevin, 23, and Chantelle, 24, dated each other for 20 months after meeting in a city bar. They moved in together after a year and half but ultimately it spelled the end of their romance, splitting just a couple of months later.

The pair, who haven't spoken about it since - not even the fact Chantelle slept with Tevin's childhood best friend - decided to thrash it out over a curry at the Calcutta Club, in Maid Marian Way.

After a few niceties and a little habitual flirting the pair got down to business in answering, three big questions, served to their table by a waiter named Raj (who, Chantelle confessed to having a little crush on).

Here's what happened...

Were we happy together?

Tevin: Yeah, we was.

Chantelle: Yeah, definitely. There wasn't any couples like us.

Tevin: When I think about the relationship now, I always think of the good stuff, when we was going around doing mad [stuff].

Chantelle: When I first met you, my type was Borat, so when I met you I fell in love.

Why did the sex go bad?

Tevin: We used to have sex everywhere, we used to have mad sex.

Chantelle: When we moved in together we just stopped trying.

Tevin: You just get familiar with someone don't you? I think it got to the point where we were just rushing it.

Why did you sleep with my best friend?

A few weeks after the couple broke up, Tevin  found out that Chantelle had slept with his best friend, his best friend since I was eight years old - and understandably he wanted answers...

Chantelle: I crossed the line, I did the worst thing you can possibly do. It was lust over love. I'm just sorry.

Tevin: Thanks for saying that.

Is this the end for us?

Tevin:  I don't think this is the end for us, you'll be in my life in the future. Will we be in a relationship together? No.

Chanetelle: This meal has been closure, it's a conversation we needed to have...

Shots?

Tevin: Yeah!

Chantelle and Tevin are still friends but feel they can now move on. Tevin is planning to move to LA.
