The normally non-stop summer calendar for Nottingham and the East Midlands is looking a shell of its former self at the moment with Download, Y Not, GloWorm and Robin Hood Festival among the events already cancelled in 2020.
As previously reported by Nottinghamshire Live, organisers of Nottingham Beach, Mellors Group, are still holding out hope for a mid-July opening date with planning currently going ahead as normal.
The same seems to go for Splendour Festival with tickets still on sale and promotion continuing.
Due to take place on Saturday, July 18, at Wollaton Park, the one-day family favourite usually attracts upwards of 20,000 people.

This year Supergrass are scheduled to top the bill on the main stage with Rick Astley, James, Belinda Carlisle, Sleeper and The Vamps also on the line-up.
With more than 70 days still left to go, organisers are still hopeful the popular day out will go ahead as planned.
A statement on the festival's official website says: "We fully expect that Splendour Festival 2020 will be going ahead as planned and are currently working hard behind the scenes to deliver Nottingham’s biggest party of the summer.
"The safety of our amazing festival goers, staff and artists is our number one priority, and we’ll continue to follow all developments from Public Health England and act accordingly with their advice."
Organisers are keeping a close eye on Government guidelines and say the event will be postponed if need be.
The statement continues: "All current reports lead us to believe that any restrictions placed on public gatherings will no longer be in effect by the time Splendour Festival comes around, however if any restrictions do affect us then the event will be postponed.
"In the unlikely event that we have to postpone Splendour Festival, your ticket will be valid for the new date. If you are unable to make the new date, you will be given a refund on your ticket."
In a bid to keep Nottingham entertained in lockdown, a series of virtual gigs and interviews are being released on the festival's official Facebook page.
