Splendour Festival 2019 beer tokens are now on sale and they're a little more expensive than last year

There's nothing quite like sitting on the grass with a cold pint of beer in hand while listening to some chart-topping tunes at Splendour Festival.

For those looking to get organised (and save on queueing time) drinks tokens for the Wollaton Park shindig are now on sale but they are a little more expensive than last year.

Festival-goers planning to head to the festival - headlined by Manic Street Preachers - on Saturday, July 20 can purchase 10 tokens for £45 at alttickets.com which means a beer will set you back £4.50 a pint, 50p pricier than last year.

Drinks vouchers purchased in advance can be redeemed on the day at any of the cabins or bars.

Buying in advance will save you money as well, as tokens bought on the day will be £5 a pop making a pint of beer a fiver too.

The bill for the festival is certainly looking pretty tasty with the likes of The Specials, All Saints and Rag 'n' Bone Man, Ash and The Rifles joining James Dean Bradfield and co on the line-up.

Children under 11 will be admitted free and discounts are also in place for Nottingham city residents. Including booking fee, a standard ticket is £56.65, coming down to £45.65 when the Nottingham city discount is applied. Tickets for Nottingham city residents aged 11-17 are £22. VIP packages are also available and start from £87.65 for a Nottingham city adult.

Tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster or in person from the Nottingham Tourism Centre. To claim Nottingham City resident discount, a copy of your council tax bill is required.
