NEW DELHI: Jos Buttler displayed a semblance of resistance, but the rest of England’s batting order faltered against India’s spinners, resulting in the visitors being restricted to165/9 in the second T20I in Chennai on Saturday.
Buttler (45 off 30 balls, 2 fours, 3 sixes) played some elegant strokes, including a 4, 6, 4 sequence off Arshdeep Singh, who struck early by dismissing Phil Salt in the first over.

Salt’s pull shot lacked the distance, and Washington Sundar, replacing the injured Nitish Kumar Reddy, held a straightforward catch near square leg.
Washington added to England’s woes by removing Ben Duckett, whose reverse sweep landed in Dhruv Jurel’s hands, another replacement in the XI for injured Rinku Singh.
