Spine-tingling moment Liverpool fans sing You'll Never Walk Alone after Premier League win

Thousands of Liverpool fans belted out You’ll Never Walk Alone in the city centre after winning the Premier League.

Huge crowds gathered around the city to celebrate to momentous occasion after Man City lost 2-1 to Chelsea.

As the final whistle blew, supporters poured out onto the streets around Anfield Stadium and into town.

Outside the Bombed Out Church, celebrations started with fireworks and smoke bombs before a spine-tingling rendition of the club’s anthem was started up.

As well as being synonymous with Liverpool FC, the anthem became a song of solidarity in the unsettling months at the start of lockdown, when the Premier League was temporarily interrupted.

Celebrations also took place at Anfield, where police closed roads and fans lit flares and sang outside the stadium.

And Seel Street was a blaze of red while diehard fans outside Anfield lit flares outside the vast stadium walls.

Liverpool's players celebrated too, with manager Jurgen Klopp crying tears of joy as he paid tribute to previous Liverpool legends like Kenny Dalglish and Steven Gerrard.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "To become champions with this club, knowing how much Kenny supported us, this is for you as well, Kenny. You had to wait another 30 years so your club could win it.

"This is for Stevie (Gerrard), who had to wait a long time and now it is for all."
