Thailand finished the second leg of the 2026 SEA V Cup in Chiang Mai with a perfect record after defeating Southeast Asian rivals Vietnam 3-0 (25-20, 25-10, 25-15) on Sunday.
The Thais defeated the Philippines 3-0 in the first match on Friday and downed Indonesia 3-0 on Saturday.
They also won all three matches in the first leg in Hanoi.
The successful SEA V Cup campaign served as a perfect warm-up for the Thais as they are gearing up for the AVC Asian Championship, which will take place in Tianjin, China, later this month.
The Chiang Mai leg also marked the return from a shoulder injury of Chatchu-on Moksri. The star outside hitter last played for the national team during the gold-medal-winning run at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in December last year.
The loss capped off a disastrous week for the Vietnamese, who lost all three games in Chiang Mai.
The Philippines, who beat Indonesia 3-1 (25-13, 23-25, 25-19, 33-31) earlier in the day, finished in second place while Indonesia were third.
