The legendary American heavy metal band are due in the city on Saturday night as part of their 'We Are Not Your Kind' world tour.

And the venue this afternoon published a list of items 'not permitted within the venue' during the concert.

They include:

  • Spiked bracelets, belts, collars, boots, jackets, chains or sharp pointed rings
  • Large belt buckles
  • Large chain wallets
  • Candles, whistles, horns or any 'noise making devices'
  • Signs of any size
  • Laser pointers or pens and glow sticks

SSE Hydro say: "We want you to have a great time and enjoy the gig!

Slipknot will play in front of a sell-out crowd at the Hydro (Alexander Crahan/Roadrunner Records)

"We're doing all we can to keep you safe and you can help us by looking out for each other.

"If you SEE something that doesn't look right, SAY something to our security team - or report it online  gov.uk/ACT  - and we'll check it out.

"Security searching will be in operation for this event, so please allow extra time in your journey.

"The venue management reserves the right to refuse admission or to eject customers in reasonable circumstances."

Meanwhile the Hydro have revealed doors will open for the concert at 6:30pm, while Slipknot are due on stage at 9pm:
