Spike O'Sullivan pokes fun at Deontay Wilder after Tyson Fury defeat

Spike O'Sullivan poked fun at Deontay Wilder after the heavyweight blamed his elaborate ring-walk outfit for losing to Tyson Fury in Las Vegas.

Wilder lost the heavyweight clash after his team threw in the towel in the seventh round, reports Cork Beo.

And afterwards, Wilder claimed that the loss was all down to the elaborate costume he worse ahead of the fight to celebrate Black History Month.

Wilder said Fury "didn't hurt me at all" but that "the simple fact is that my uniform was too heavy for me".

Wilder claimed the outfit weighed over 40 pounds, and he only tried it on for the first time the night before the bout.

“I didn’t have no legs from the beginning of the fight,” he reflected. “In the third round, my legs were just shot all the way through … I knew I didn’t have the legs because of my uniform.”

And now Spike has had his say, poking fun at Wilder's excuse with an excuse of his own.

Spike wrote on Twitter: "Just putting it out there, the weight of my moustache was the cause of me losing my last fight.

"My legs were gone on the way to the ring from the weight of the tash, after Round 3 I couldn't feel my legs I was bolloxed, he didn't hurt me once! In fact I don't think he even hit me.

The tweet has been viewed thousands of times, and over 5,000 people have so far have liked it.
