Spiders are now invading Bristol homes with great enthusiasm - and residents have been quick to take pictures of the larger creatures.
Bristol Live reported at the weekend the types of spiders likely to pay your homes a visit.
In response homeowners have been sending in their own close encounters with creepy crawlies of all shapes and sizes this year.
We have picked out some of the more hair-raising examples below.

It comes after a woman has described how she was left in agony after being bitten by a spider in her home - and then overdosed on antihistamines in an attempt to combat the pain and swelling.
Stunned Nic Mitchell-Brown, said she was left with a swollen leg and severe back aches from what she thought was an innocuous spider bite.
Nic, from Cheltenham, ended up calling an ambulance as her pain increased and her leg swelled by four inches.
