Spider-Man's Tom Holland melts hearts by surprising Jimmy Kimmel's 3-year-old son

Tom Holland delighted fans as well as a young boy when he dressed up as his big screen alter ego Spider-Man to surprise Jimmy Kimmel’s young son on his birthday.

The 23-year-old British actor has played Peter Parker/Spider-Man in five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films including Spider-Man: Far From Home, Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame.

And the fresh faced actor proved he is a hero in real life when 52-year-old late night talkshow host Jimmy asked for his help to surprise his three-year-old son Billy.

Gathering his children around for a self taped episode of his show, Jimmy explained he had wanted to hire a Spider-Man impersonator to surprise his son on his birthday until coronavirus lockdown measures scuppered plans – so drafted in Tom to help.

“My son Billy turns three years old today,” Jimmy explained.

“We watched both of your Spider-Man movies over and over and over again, and we promised him that the real Spider-Man would come to his party. Now, of course we were just going to hire a guy in a suit, but now nobody's coming to his party,” Jimmy went on.

“His party is just us, and I was wondering if you could say hello to him. I can't guarantee you it's going to register, but would you mind?” he continued as he asked Tom to help.

Then, gathering his son and daughter Jane around him, Jimmy asked: “Who did we say was going to come to your birthday? The real Spider-Man! I want you to say hi to somebody!’”

Tom then appeared on screen in a make-shift red and blue costume, greeting the toddler then saying: “Here, let me take this off so I can see you better.”

After revealing his face, a star struck Jane declared: “That is Peter Parker!” while Billy smiled.
