It’s Spider-Man to the rescue.
Tom Holland, who can be seen swinging through cities and pummeling bad guys in Marvel’s Spider-Man films, said he had to be a hero in real life on a flight to Hawaii in January.
Holland, who shared the story on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” said his Spidey-sense was tingly and he noticed something was amiss quickly.
“This lady walked past me, and I said to my brother, ‘Dude, that lady looks so unwell,’” the 23-year-old actor said.
The next thing Holland knew, the passenger had fallen on the floor right next to him and was unconscious.
“All of a sudden I heard this ‘thud’ next to me, and I looked to my left, and this lady had passed out.”
The “Spider-Man: Far From Home” star said he leaped into action.
“I jumped up,” he said. “I’m not a doctor; I’m an actor. I was like, ‘Ma’am, are you alright?’”
Turns out on-screen hero experience doesn’t come with medical knowledge.
“I was useless,” he said. “I was trying to find her pulse. I don’t know how to do that. I was like, ‘She has no pulse! Oh no, she does.’ “
The biggest surprise, however, may have been for another woman sitting nearby, who was watching one of Holland’s superhero flicks when the real-life drama unfolded.
“I was calling for a doctor,” he continued. “I was trying to clear her hair out of her face, check her airways and stuff, and this woman who was watching my film was looking at me, and she must have thought, ‘Wow, this kid just never stops.’ “
But the British actor said he’s also had trips that felt less heroic.
“I’ve seen someone watch one of my movies and turn it off, which was great,” the actor joked.
